Preschools and Play Schools in Bacolod City for Kids Ages 2 and Up

Children enjoying an early learning activity at a preschool in Bacolod City

From first playgroup sessions to nursery classes, here are Bacolod schools and learning centers to explore before kindergarten.

At two years old, “school” does not have to mean sitting at a desk and learning to write a name. For many children, a good first class is where they learn to join a group, try an activity without a parent beside them, ask for help, and discover that sharing the crayons is apparently part of life now.

Bacolod parents have more choices than a traditional nursery class. There are play schools that run in cycles, toddler programs with short daily sessions, Montessori-inspired classrooms, and preschools that continue through the elementary years. The names of the classes can be confusing: one school’s toddler level may be another’s pre-nursery. Always ask about the age cutoff before visiting.

This guide covers Bacolod City programs with a published age-two offering, followed by other local options worth checking. It is not a ranking of teaching quality. A school can look ideal online and still be the wrong fit for your child’s temperament or your family’s daily schedule.

Imagination Playground: The BRAIN GYM

Imagination Playground offers a cycle-based option for Bacolod families who want their toddler to get used to learning and playing with other children. Parents can choose between Monday–Wednesday (MW) and Tuesday–Thursday (TTh) class days. Its October 2026 cycle starts October 5 for MW and October 6 for TTh; the school asks families to confirm enrollment ahead of the next cycle so it can hold a slot.

That arrangement may appeal to parents who want a regular twice-weekly routine before moving to a longer preschool schedule. Ask the school about the age group for the next cycle, session length, class venue, fee and whether a parent stays during class.

TinyLab Study Center

TinyLab is another Bacolod early learning center parents should know about. It is identified publicly as an early learning and development center, and a profile associated with the center lists 2726 Lopez Jaena Street, Bacolod City. Local parents also mention TinyLab when discussing play-school choices for toddlers.

Ask before visiting: Its current minimum age, whether classes run by cycle or school year, the weekly schedule, class size and fees. Online parent comments are useful leads, but they are personal experiences, not a verified description of today’s program.

The Woodbridge Academy

Woodbridge offers one of the clearest published toddler program descriptions in Bacolod. For school year 2026–2027, its Toddler level is listed for ages 2.0–2.11, with a maximum of 12 children, a stated 1:4 teacher-to-student ratio, and classes lasting one hour and 45 minutes. The listed start time is 10:30 a.m. Its age placement is based on the child’s age by October 31.

The school is at 5 23rd Street. Its campus page lists child-sized furniture, books and toys, and a rubberized outdoor playground. Ask for the latest fee sheet and available places before scheduling a visit.

Bright Kids Plus

Bright Kids Plus has two Bacolod campuses: No. 8, 10th Street, near Lacson, and Villa Lucasan Subdivision, Mandalagan. Its FAQ identifies Rugrats for two-year-olds, alongside other playgroup and preschool offerings. Having two locations is helpful if the morning trip across town would otherwise become your family’s least favorite subject.

Ask which age-two class is running at your preferred campus. Published inquiry numbers are 0917-854-8168 for Lacson and 0998-843-1568 for Lucasan.

A Child’s Place Preschool

A Child’s Place has published a useful distinction between Toddler, beginning at 1 year and 10 months, and Pre-nursery, beginning at 2 years and 5 months. Its Bacolod location is listed on Atis Street, Villamonte.

The age guide located during research was for an earlier school year. Ask the school for its present age bands, timetable, address details and fees rather than assuming the earlier guide still applies exactly.

KinderFirst Learning and Development Center

KinderFirst advertises a Montessori-inspired preschool program for ages 2–6 at 25 11th Street. It also describes inclusion, occupational therapy, speech therapy and individualized special education offerings. Parents interested in any of those services should ask how they relate to the regular preschool class and whether they are priced separately.

Happy Beginners School of Learning

Happy Beginners lists Nursery for ages 2–3 as part of its regular class program. It is located at 32 Roxas Avenue and also publishes information about special education and therapy services. Ask for the regular nursery schedule, class size and full school-year cost.

Lutchie’s Haven Kids Play Center

Lutchie’s Haven advertises a “Little Ones” class for two-year-olds and other early classes for children around ages two to four. Its listed address is Burgos Extension, Sunshine Valley Subdivision, Barangay Estefania. Check whether the next opening is for a play-school cycle or a longer preschool program.

CenterPhil Montessori

CenterPhil’s website describes a Bacolod preschool offering for ages 2–6. Its Bacolod campus is listed at Bacolod Business Park, Magsaysay Avenue. Parents considering a Montessori setting can inquire about the actual daily routine, the ages grouped together in a classroom, and how much uninterrupted activity time the children receive.

More Bacolod schools and play schools to contact

The following broaden the search considerably, but their current admission age for a two-year-old was not clearly established from reliable public program information. Confirm that point before treating them as an age-two option.

  • Mi Primera Escuela — Villa Angela Subdivision, Villamonte. A current Bacolod preschool listing places it on Acacia Road. Local parents mention attending from a young toddler age, but request the school’s own current admission policy and fee sheet.
  • L’Ecole — 2 Tapulanga Street, Capitolville Subdivision. Listed among Bacolod preschools; ask whether it currently has a class for children who have just turned two.
  • School of Creative Beginners. Mentioned in local preschool comparisons. Verify its current campus, age cutoff and program directly before visiting.
  • Kiddieland Learning Center — Quezon Avenue. Its own program page lists Nursery for ages 3–3.11. Ask whether it has a separate younger playgroup; do not assume its nursery admits two-year-olds.
  • Little Sprouts Playschool — Mansilingan area. Recent local parent discussions identify a Mansilingan play-school option near Victorina Heights. Confirm its official contact details, precise venue, age range and current program before making the trip.
  • Kids Inc. Play and Learning Center. Its own social post describes early learning activities, while local parents mention it among play-school choices. Ask for its current Bacolod venue and toddler class details.
  • Hearthstone Academy — 1 Jade Street, City Heights Subdivision. Its current listing describes a progressive school with preschool classes and play-based learning. Confirm the youngest age accepted.
  • Lamblight International School. The Bacolod school publishes preschool as part of its on-campus and homeschool offerings. Ask for its youngest on-campus age, exact class location and schedule.

For families looking at age three and beyond, Bacolod also has barangay child development centers. The city reported that the Bahay Bulilit Learning Center in Rosario Heights was designed to accommodate preschoolers ages 3–4 and described the program as free of charge. Check directly for current residency rules and available places.

What about tuition?

I could not establish dependable current prices for most of these programs from public fee schedules. A figure shared by another parent may refer to an old school year, a different campus, or a short play-school cycle rather than annual tuition.

To compare costs fairly, request the total for the same length of enrollment from each center. Ask for tuition, registration, assessment, uniforms, books or materials, snacks, and any required activities. Also ask about payment schedules and refunds if your child needs more time before settling into class.

Choosing your child’s first class

A visit will tell you more than a polished enrollment poster. Watch how teachers respond when a child hangs back, cries, needs the bathroom or refuses an activity. Ask how many adults will be in the room on an ordinary day, what happens when the regular teacher is absent, and how parents receive updates.

A two-year-old does not need to come home with a worksheet every day to have learned something. Feeling comfortable with other children, following a simple routine and growing confident enough to try are worthwhile beginnings.

Details were researched in September 2026. Class availability, addresses, schedules, age cutoffs and prices can change. This is a broad editorial guide to discoverable Bacolod options, not a certification or exhaustive register of every operating child development center.
